Spring USC Junior Transfer — Can I Still Graduate On Time?

Just got accepted to USC for Spring 2027 as a junior transfer for business admin.

If I take summer/winter classes and come in with most of my CC credits done (econ, stats, accounting, GEs), is it still realistic to graduate on the normal timeline?

Also:
- Do USC summer units count toward residency?
- Does spring admission affect internships/recruiting for finance industry?
- Is the spring admit class pretty large, how’s the transition for anyone who was a spring admit?

I’m transferring from Santa Barbara City College and choosing between Tulane for Finance or UCSB for Econ/Accounting.

My main goal is to break into finance, but I’m still unsure which route: IB, asset management, corporate finance, wealth management, consulting, etc. Cost doesn’t matter. I’m from California and would like the experience of living in another state for two years, but I don’t necessarily want to stay in the South after college.

My biggest concern is that I don’t really enjoy accounting, so I’m unsure if UCSB’s Econ/Accounting major is the right fit. That said, I’d be willing to do it if UCSB leads to better finance outcomes.

As an SBCC transfer, which school would give me better finance career outcomes, recruiting access, and networking opportunities: Tulane Finance or UCSB Econ/Accounting?
