Has anyone ever tried modding fly reels? Like taking it apart and replacing some of the hardware to improve it, maybe to make it lighter or a better feel or something like that? For anyone that’s tried, how would I start?

I’ve researched this and haven’t found much, and was wondering if anyone else had this question, or even an answer. Anything helps!
