Hi there, hopefully this is the right subreddit for this question, let me know if not.
I'm not a professional housekeeper, just a tenant in a building that is split into three apartments. My landlord is about to start listing the apartment below me as an airbnb and I have told her I'm interested in doing the cleaning/upkeep of the unit after visits to make a little extra income. It is a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room.
I'm wondering how much payment is appropriate to ask for. How much would you charge to clean a unit like this? Would you charge a flat rate per airbnb visit? Or an hourly rate for however long it takes to clean the place? I don't want my landlord to think I am exaggerating the amount of time it takes to clean but I also realize some guests will require more cleaning up after than others.
I'd love to hear some feedback from anyone who has cleaned air bnbs before. Thanks in advance!
