Texture: straight

Density: medium

Treated: virgin

2 years ago I started taking care of and styling my hair (guy by the way). I've learned that short-medium length hairstyles work better for me than longer ones like the wolfcut, too heavy. I've been trying to rock a fringe and a middle part lately, but I can't find any product that will hold my hair into my desired shape.

For the fringe I've tried all combinations of sea salt spray, texture powder, and hairspray, and for the middle part I've tried sea salt spray, pomade, curling cream, hairspray. Been using a hairdryer (with a concentrator and diffuser attachment when needed). Nothing seems to hold for any of the past hairstyles I've tried. In less than 15 minutes the texture and volume are gone, and the hairstyle is mostly gone, and even faster if there is wind. None of the many barber shops and salons I've visited have succeeded in handling my hair.

For washing I shampoo every day. If I don't my head gets oily and the hair gets even heavier. I also use conditioner on the ends, but to be honest I don't know if this is doing anything, do it out of habit I suppose.

I don't know what to do anymore. I can't believe I spent so much money and time over the past 2 years and still haven't figured out how to style my hair, most days I don't even go out besides work/gym because I hate how my hair looks.

At this point I just want a magical style product that will save my hair. Any help or advice would be much appreciated! This was my last resort lol
