Hi everyone,

I’m trying to complete my Bachelor from Padua 2026 pre-enrolment on the Universitaly portal, but I keep getting this error message:

“ERROR_CF_DOUBLE – Dear user, we ask you to open a ticket at the support request address and indicate the error code and attach an identification document.”

Because of this, I’m unable to continue my application process.

Is anyone else facing the same issue?
What does this error actually mean, and how can I solve it?

I already tried refreshing, logging in again, and using another browser, but the problem is still there.

Any help would be really appreciated because many deadlines are approaching.

Need help: No surname in passport for Italy (Universitaly / University of Padua application)

Hi everyone,

I’m applying to University of Padua through Universitaly and I have a name-format issue.

In my passport:

Given Name: [Full name]
Surname: Blank (no surname)

Since the application portal required both fields, I submitted it as:

Given Name: [Full name]
Surname: [Full name]

I did this only because the system would not allow leaving the surname field empty.

My concern is:
Will this create problems later for:
- Student visa application
- University registration in Italy
- Codice fiscale
- Bank account opening
- Residence permit (permesso di soggiorno)
- Other official documents

Has anyone with a single-name / no-surname passport faced this while applying to Italian universities?

If yes:

  1. Did repeating the name in surname work?
  2. Did you need to correct it later?
  3. Did it cause any issues during visa or after arriving in Italy?

Any advice would really help. Thanks.
