i know a lot of people been asking similar questions but i was wondering what i should pick as a transfer student. i like ucla location and ik ucla is more stats heavy but i still wanna have the option to work in CS/AI/ML, but also interested in going to grad school and PhD if I end up going that far. I would probably add the DSE minor to get more computational classes. I’m still not 100% sure what I want to do as i’m interested in working as a data analyst/data scientist, even CS roles, but I would be interested in becoming prof/research level role too. Ik DS at UCSD is a lot more computationally heavy and more traditional classes for landing traditional jobs in the industry straight out of undergrad. i also know that DS is a 3 year track for transfer students and also UCSD is a bit dead compared to UCLA. Does anyone have an advice? i’m leaning towards UCLA right now and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful info. Thanks!
