ILR Advice - Follow up

Following up on this post I made before:

After my Global Talent endorsement and a Sponsored job offer fell through the last minute thanks to the CEO blocking my sponsorship, I am very close to getting another sponsored job after interviewing dozens of companies. Fingers crossed it will go through.

Normally, I would have asked them to apply for an employer switch. But as of today, I have qualified for ILR (28 days - first BRP issue date).

I am in a dilemma as to whether or not the Skilled Worker Visa switch is needed before going with the ILR application, or if can I use the offer letter + employer letter + COS number (of a job I am yet to start) to go ahead and apply the ILR.

I wonder if anyone has been in this situation before and if you have any recommendations/experience. Any help much appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I will qualify for ILR in a month (28 days before entry date), but my Skilled Worker Visa was curtailed due to termination of my previous job. My last date in the country is 2 days after the ILR eligibility date.

The only thing that stops me from applying for the ILR is the employer letter.

The job search has been hard. Global Talent Visa was to my big surprise, not endorsed. I do have offers from companies who unfortunately are not able to sponsor for these few days.

Note: No long absences, no dependants, no benefits availed, no gaps in taxes/NI, No criminal record, C1 English, Life in the UK test done, Salary around the 100K mark in all years. And not sure if that helps, I previously spent 3 years in ICT visa between 2016-2019.

I have mostly made plans to leave. But before making the final decision, I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to save the ILR. I do not wish to restart the clock on any other route. Any advice much appreciated.
