Hey! FTM who is hoping to cloth diaper and looking for advice...
So my friend had a baby earlier this year and had a TON of newborn disposables left over that she gave me, that being said, we are planning on using those up while we get used to the rest that comes with bringing home our first baby. Also, because I have heard many cloth diapers do not fit great for newborn and I just don't want to buy an entire stash just for that phase.
I've been really set on your traditional cloth diaper with inserts, that can adjust from 10-35 lbs or whatever. BUT, I also am interested in trying out Esembly, just to see what they're all about. Also, I like that the only thing touching baby is cotton, not plastic.
I was wondering if you guys think that 9 Esembly inners + 3 outers, and 2 x 7-packs from Nora's Nursery would be a good enough amount to help us see if we like cloth, and if we have a stark preference on one style or the other? I know it is not enough for a full time stash, but it is more than just a little trial pack, which I feel is not enough to get a good feel.
We do also plan on dabbling with elimination communication, so there is that too - perhaps it will decrease the amount we use throughout the day.
Also, if anyone has any strong opinions (positive or negative) about either brand, please feel free to comment!
Thanks!!
