2023/24 AC Issues?
Hi all! I am thinking of getting my son a 2023 or 2024 EX-L. I have a 2019 Civic EX-L that was a lease buyout during Covid. It only has 50k miles, but just had the AC Compressor seal fixed for the second time in less than 12 months. I only have 3 more years left on the extended warranty for the AC. That means, once that warranty expires, I will probably be paying $2500 every year just to have a working AC.
I've always had Hondas and like the thought of my son having a car that should last well over 100k miles is comforting. I fear that with the 2023/24 vehicles not covered under the extended warranty for the AC issues, it could turn into a money pit.
Has anyone experienced AC issues with their CRV's for the years mentioned? Should I just look at a Rav4?
