I'm trying to incorporate aspects of different cultures in a work I'm writing, and I've hit a bit of a snag. For languages with very different registers, are there examples of literature that manage to include this feature in an elegant way? Something like Japanese keigo or the Javanese triple styles, where the vocabulary between registers can be completely different.

Would love recs of translated or original English works that have this kind of thing as a big part of the text!
