How it works — US LTL Pricing & Auditing?
Hi everyone, I am from Australia and want to learn how LTL works in here in the US and Canada. I've learned the dynamics of the parcel land quite quickly but want to fast track my knowledge on the LTL landscape.
Especially contract logistics, where shippers are sending a lot of shipments per day... and how those tariffs work, do they even get a fixed agreed price from their warehouse to several zones with accessorial charges?
What is the class based system, how invoices work and how to audit them etc. And then if it were a 3PL working with LTL carriers, how do they get invoices and then bill their customers?
I can do this in Australia and UK but I want to fast track my learning for here in the US.
Is anyone here interested to teach me? Or point me to resources I can read?
