Teaching credential single subject (Art)

Hello, I have a question about whether it’s necessary to take Art 386A and 386B for the in-person art teaching credential. I know they’re obviously recommended, but I became interested in this credential during one of my last semesters, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to fit those last two classes into my schedule.

Are they really very necessary to take or recommended?

I talked with the person in charge of the credential and she said it's optional since i can also try to do the independent experience and be volunteer in a k12 school and I also waiting for my advisor to reply.

I’m graduating next spring, and I’m already going to be a full-time student in the fall and also in the spring. Unless someone knows if it’s possible to take both classes at the same time during spring, in my final semester. Plus I only have 4 semesters left of fasfa which is making me anxious.

This fall I’m already taking one of the requirements, Art History for my Bachelor’s degree, plus studio classes. So I feel like adding another class on top of five classes might be too much, but I’m not sure.

If anyone already done this I will appreciate any advice
