Eyes swollen with eczema
So I’ve been dealing with a bad flare of eczema around my eyes (or I think I have been) for the past month or so. Red, itchy, flakey dry skin. Usually normal for some swelling in the morning, typically would go away once i started moving around. The swelling was worse yesterday for the first time in a while, but also have season allergies, so I thought it was the combo (I also take Zyrtec daily for my allergies).
Today I woke up with my eyes almost swollen shut. This was about an hour after taking my Zyrtec too (I woke up, took it from my bed, went back to sleep).
I put in antihistamine eye drops, iced my eyes, and tried doing a lymphatic draining massage. They are still SO swollen, but slightly improved. I feel otherwise fine.
BUT I have to leave for an exam in an hour.
Is this severity of swelling normal with eczema??? I know an allergic reaction is likely involved but I haven’t changed anything about diet or routine.
