Hey all. So I've got a pretty severe fear of flying, and I have to get to NYC in a few weeks.
Recent news about the stresses on aviation safety and separation, especially in the NYC area (like the crash at LaGuardia and near miss at JFK) has sent me over the edge a bit. I really don't like the idea of flying into airspace that hectic when towers are understaffed.
I know that realistically it doesn't matter much in terms of safety, but how much quieter is the airspace past, say, 10 PM? Just for my own peace of mind, I'm thinking of getting a flight that lands late, when there are less planes around. Just looking for some reassurance that that'd be a good plan, I guess.
