I built a Windows screen recorder for making polished demos

Hi all,

I’ve been working on Ananta, a Windows-first desktop app designed to make high-quality screen recordings and tutorials.

The core features:

  • Recording by display, window, or custom area
  • A Studio timeline for fast edits and precise fine-tuning
  • Auto Zoom added after recording, with full manual control afterward
  • Mask effects (highlight or blur) for focus and sensitive content
  • Cursor controls for motion, size, visibility, and behavior
  • Camera controls and layouts (PiP, side-by-side, screen-only, camera-only)
  • Uses Whisper to generate captions directly on your machine (no cloud privacy issues) with a built-in transcript editor.
  • Audio controls for mic, system audio, and background music
  • Multiple aspect ratios including wide, vertical, portrait, and square
  • Export settings up to 4K with quality options

Price: $5/month (Early Bird price, subject to change)

It’s completely free to use until August 31, 2026, so you can test it out as much as you want. Windows is live now, and I’m working on the Mac version next.

Check it out and let me know what you think!
