Help my sweaty ceilings
We bought this house about 3 years ago and it was in rough shape. It’s almost daily that we uncover new problems, but this one has been a thorn in my side since we moved in. It’s finally getting nice and warm in northeast Ohio and my walls are beginning their seasonal sweat. A few times every summer I have to mop the walls because the humidity up at the ceiling makes everything drip. I literally have sweaty lines down the walls. The wood beams drip dark brown sticky crud onto the floors too. I don’t know if there is a remedy for this or if I just need to convince my husband to let me hang a million plants up there. I figured I’d ask the rest of you fine high ceiling folks and see if it’s a common problem or if it is something I need to actually look into. Picture is after a fresh mopping. Thanks!!
