Recovery after using birth control pill

Hi ladies,

Any of you recovered or are recovering after stopping BC pill and finding you have HA? How long did it take you to get your period back? Is it normal to take longer after stopping birth control or is it the same as someone who lost it without taking any medication?

EWCM + temp rise that doesn’t stick — is this normal in recovery?

Hi all,
Really struggling at the moment and hoping someone can relate or shed some light.
I keep getting EWCM, my temps rise like ovulation happened and then a few days later they drop back down with no sustained thermal shift. Every time I realise it wasn’t a real ovulation it’s genuinely heartbreaking, especially when I’d let myself feel hopeful.
Has anyone experienced this pattern during recovery? Is it just my body gearing up and not quite getting there yet? Does it even mean anything in terms of progress, or is it just noise?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar.

Hi girls,

For those who have recovered, I’d love to hear about your cervical mucus patterns.

I’ve been noticing waves of EWCM for the past months, but usually it’s just for one day, and often only in the morning. I’m trying to understand whether that’s typical during recovery or if it usually becomes more consistent closer to ovulation.

When your cycles returned, did you notice:
- several days of EWCM, or
- just a short window (like one day)?

I’m wondering how much this varies from person to person, and whether brief EWCM could simply reflect a small estrogen rise that doesn’t lead to ovulation.

Thanks so much!

Hi girls,

Anyone experiment with seed cycle to support HA recovery? Is this worth it? Read about it and might give it a try! (Although I am aware I need to keep the surplus and lots of rest ofc no magic pill)

How did you go about it and did you have any good/bad experiences?

Thanks!

Hello ladies

I lost my period in September 2025 after stopping the pill (although the problem might’ve been there during the pill used) and started properly recovering since January. I have gained around 4 kg (started at around 51 and now I’m getting to 55kg, I’m 163 cm for reference) I have increased my caloric intake most days I hit 2.2 calories and if I train (which I do lift weights still around 2 a week and that’s basically it along side maybe a Pilates session a week) I eat more ~2.4-2.5 k kcal). I’ve also been trying to eat more carbs. I have been getting improvement symptoms (EWCM sometimes, more watery discharge, had breast tenderness for 2 weeks in the beginning of April for the first time in months) but my period is still not here. Any advice?
