Does anyone else remember being tested in pre-k or kindergarten that involved trying to use a cigarette lighter?

I know I was tested for the gifted program in 1st/2nd grade but I didn't score high enough to actually make it into the program. I do remember Zener card during that time.

Im addition to the vague zener card memory, I also have a vivid memory from the years before that where I was taken into a room with my teacher and a random guy and they asked me if I could show them how to use a cigarette lighter. I remember blocks being used for some sort of testing then too. I am not sure if this is related to GATE at all so I wanted to check-in to see if anyone else had a similar experience?
