When should I upgrade my fishing equipment?
I currently have a $20 shakespeare combo from Walmart. I fish for bass/catfish/carp and the rod serves me well, but leaves a lot to be desired. I was eyeing a Lews combo from Walmart the costs around $80-$100, but my friend told me that I shouldn't upgrade yet and wait until my rod or reel breaks. What should I do?
