I need direction!

I finally >!retook the throne and opened the blue door. Opened all the boxes and noticed the Spiral of Stars in the wood grain in one of the boxes.!<

I'm kind of disappointed there wasn't something with more lore. Though the >!blue book was cute.!<

The only things I have to go off next to continue playing is to get the >!Spiral of Stars in the observatory (I think?) and take the watering can to the trading post (Ive blown the wall). Also get the Blue Tents upgrade. I'm not good at getting lots of money.!<

My questions is, are those things going to lead me much deeper in the game or is there some other puzzle I'm missing?
