Hi,

My kitchen sink has been emitting a sewage smell and It's very very strong.

The smell both comes through the plug and the pipes under the sink. I live in a small flat and it is becoming overwhelming.

I have taken the U bend off and it was full of water (I read that a dry U bend can cause a smell sometimes?) And I have cleaned the U bend. I also cleaned the connection bit between my washing machine waste water pipe and the sink waste water pipe and I've basically bleached everywhere I can think of.

What could this smell be?!

My landlord is taking ages to arrange a plumber but I can hardly stand to be in my flat due to the smell.

Is there anything I can do to find or stop this smell?
