This question is for either Patients with Pacemaker or Cardiologist/Cardio Tech/Pacemaker Techs. I want to learn about impact on patient's health, when battery is slowed down to 'Prolong the life of pacemaker'. My mom has 2-3 years left for replacement pacemaker, and just last week they checked and said we have prolonged the battery life. Since then we started noticing her hands shaking. Can prolonging the life of pacemaker - be at the expense of some impact on Patients overall heart health? I have had this conversation with Cardiologists - and they all say that it wont have any impact. They simply shut me up - with not much explanation. But I know for a fact that it does have visible impact on mom's daily acitivities and energy level. What should i do?
