I genuinely like how varied and free the character creation and action economy is in 5e and love 2024 many more times for upping these choices and sometimes nerfing but never removing those past features. (Assuming non-reprinted content like Custom Lineage aren't gonna change much.)

While 8 actual fights and dealing with infinite stun in a fight or exhaustion levels creeping in during travel are genuinely fun, that requires going fully rolled tables. The PDFs I found were filled with Oracle tables for example like the OG, while some a story made for a single character like Obvious Mimic's books seems too content with sparse and easy fights and showering the player with rewards.

Basically, where can I find more challenging campaigns or even just more challenging scenes in 5.5e? I'll gladly pay if needed to get this OSR-style experience. Seeing how good a job books for 4-6 players actually do balancing for a single character compared to the actual made-for-solo ones I tried, this can't too hard right?
