How do you manage having private moments alone with your partner?

I own a male dachshund and he just won’t stand quiet in a different room, keeps scratching the door and barking loud.

Sometimes I gave him some toys or snacks but he eats it very fast and goes back scratching the door and barking

I found lots of posts in social media about how them are cute, but nothing related to how they can be annoying as well sometimes or how they would affect having private moments
