Hey LaunchMyStartup,
Just launched the first version of Square Up.
The pain: Asking friends or roommates to pay you back for drinks, utilities, group meals, etc. always turns into an awkward, cringey back-and-forth.
What it does:
You fill in the details and it sends a neutral nudge from a third party that includes a small reward for the recipient (like a 10% coffee discount). The goal is to make the request feel more like a casual gift instead of a nag.
Current stage:
- Very early MVP built on Replit
- Public form with live iMessage-style preview
- Tone selector (Casual, Polite, Direct)
- Basic admin dashboard for tracking
I'm not actually sending real text messages yet. This version is for testing the user flow, message quality, and reward idea.
Would love honest feedback:
- Does the reward + third-party approach make it less awkward?
- How do the message tones feel?
- What’s missing or sucks right now?
All feedback is welcome — good or bad.
Thanks!
