Remix free template

Made a minimal Framer template recently and something unexpected happened — someone remixed it, created a few projects with it, then eventually upgraded their Framer plan.

Turns out free templates can actually become long-term assets.

I’ve been trying to make websites that feel simpler:

  • no distracting animations
  • no unnecessary sections
  • just clean layouts and CMS simplicity

Still learning and experimenting, but it’s motivating to see people genuinely use the work.

Free remix if anyone wants to check it out:

genuinely ask about checkout product

I have a website template that’s already listed on the Framer Marketplace, but I currently offer it for free. What if I change it to paid? Would that be good or bad for the traffic? Also, if I make it paid and use a checkout link from Contra, what should I put in the Contra product section? Should I just add a Notepad with the remix link or how does it usually work?

Sharing a quick look at a site I’m working on.

It’s still pretty bare, but I’m already stuck overthinking the direction.

Any thoughts or ideas would help a lot.
