Need advise on short talk for PhD interview

I've been invited to a PhD interview and I need to give a short presentation (~10 minutes, about background, future plans, and a recent research project, including methods and tools, results, and contribution to the project).

I'm not sure which project to present and would appreciate some outside opinions.

There's my Master's thesis, a finished project with a clear narrative and concrete results. So, it won't be too difficult to present it in this short time.

And then there's the previous PhD project, which I quit after about 10 months (for reasons unrelated to the project). This was still in the early stages, where we did a lot of testing, tried out different approaches and refined some ideas. So, there are no clear results, and the presentation would be more about the research process, our ideas and approaches, and the open challenges.

I'd feel way more comfortable with presenting my master's thesis, especially for such a short talk. But I'm worried that by not presenting my PhD work, it might make it look like I'm avoiding discussing it.

What do you think? Am I overthinking this? I'm especially interested in opinions from people who have conducted PhD interviews or served on admissions committees.

In case it's important, it's for a STEM PhD in Europe.
