On Tuesday I’ll be 7 weeks post op. I had a lap ovaries, uterus, fallopian tubes, and cervix removed. Uneventful recovery thus far and surgery went well. I’m supposed to go back to work this Thursday and that’s okay. I’m also working on obtaining a degree and both require lots of desk and sitting in chair time. I’ve noticed that my perineum is achy. Ughh. I’ve slowly been increasing my time in the chair and initially I seemed to be fine. My hips ached but I’m back on my krill oil and that seems to be helping with that. Now it’s the perineum. I take a 10 min break and go for a walk or stretching every 1/2 hour while I’m in the chair. Im 54 and have been menopausal so already on MRT. I’ve been taking meloxicam 15 mg every day and I also take Panadol osteo at night and sometimes throughout day. Doesn’t seem to work. I’ve even tried warm packs. That helped a bit but it’s going to be challenging being in an office setting with a heat pack down there.
Anyone else experiencing the peri ache? Any other suggestions?
