Recruiting Athlete Choosing Between Emory ED and Case Western Merit Scholarship for Pre-Med
I’m a recruited athlete trying to decide between Emory and** **Case Western Reserve University for pre-med.
Here’s my situation:
4.0 unweighted GPA
33 ACT
Recruited athlete (state championship level)
Extensive physician shadowing
Lots of volunteer hours at my local hospital
My family will probably not qualify for need-based financial aid
Case Western has already offered me a merit scholarship, but Emory has not offered any merit aid. Since Emory’s Early Decision (ED) is binding, I’m hesitant to commit without having a better idea of whether students with similar profiles typically receive any merit scholarships.
For those of you who were admitted to Emory:
Did you receive any merit scholarships? If so, approximately how much?
