I have had my credit card number stolen several times over the past few years and it seems to be happening at local area restaurants whenever a staff member takes the card away to run it. With camera phones so prevalent, it makes it easy to snap a pic of the card information and use or sell that information later. This seems to be a problem in the Spokane area as well. When in a bar or restaurant, insist that they bring a mobile terminal to you at the table and run your card there. Do NOT let the card get out of your sight. Even better, use Apple or Google pay, that way the card number will never be exposed. And Spokane bars and restaurants need to do a better job of offering the ability to pay at the table or with Apple/Google pay.
