I’ve been hearing more about brands getting referenced in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude answers. Even though it took me time to know I can monitor these manually they aren’t scalable at all.

As the title goes, I’m going to use one of them (GenTrackAI and Profound). How do I choose or know which one actually delivers accurate, useful data? Basically I want to know ‘How to choose’

So, I’ve been noticing that some competitors are showing up much more frequently in AI-generated responses, even when the query isn’t directly about referencing a brand. It got me wondering: how exactly are brands influencing their presence in these new answer engines? And from what I noticed, the traditional SEO tools don’t seem to capture this less (if at all).

So, I started looking into the emerging category of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) / AI visibility tools.

I tested two that kept coming up:

1. GenTrackAI:This is more focused on pure visibility tracking and competitive intelligence. Also got real-time alerts, share-of-voice, sentiment analysis, prompt research, and one-click optimization reports. I like that it has cleaner dashboards if you mainly want data + insights without heavy automation.

2. Profound:It’s strong on both monitoring and action, they also have autonomous agents that can create/optimize content, run campaigns, and automate workflows.I can say it feels more like a full marketing operating system built for the AI era.

From my perspective, both seem legit, but they have different strengths. GenTrack feels broader and more do stuff oriented, while Profound is sharp on observation and benchmarking.

Trying to figure out if these tracking tools are promising to actually help brands monitor their sentiments on the internet or how else can a brand monitor the scale at which AI can reference their brand. Also do tell me any other tool I may test that’s not noise
