Hello everyone
So i will be upgrading from my 1440p IPS 180hz to QD-OLED 1440p 240hz, specifically Asus Rog strix OLED XG27AQDMES
I read a lot about VRR flicker, some say it's mostly on loading screen due to frame time inconsistency, some say thay hated OLED because of it.
Now i know if i disable VRR and use V-SYNC instead it will solve the problem entirely, but i do like VRR because it makes the experience smoother
What i do mostly either lock at 120fps so i get smooth frame time stutter free, or lock the fps at 88fps and use AFMF 2.1 to reach 176fps (since my current monitor is 180hz)
But AFMF can't work properly with V-sync via Driver, so using VRR is a must in that case.
Additionally that monitor has something called Anti-Flicker, i know it's about reducing it not eliminating it completely, but still if any of you have used it I'll be thankful to know your experience with it.
Lastly if i locked the FPS with rivatuner at say 110 fps then used AFMF to make it 220 with VRR and it's smooth of course, will there be a massive VRR flicker?
Thanks in advance
