My infusions are scheduled! Any tips or advice?

Ferritin 4.3, microcytic anemia, regular blood donor...My doctor just called, my insurance approved and my infusions are scheduled. They do Feraheme. There will be 2 infusions a week apart. I am excited but a little nervous. All she said was it takes about 90 minutes start to finish and there is no prep. Any tips or advice from anyone here?

LSS.. my ferritin is 4.3. I feel pretty bad. I believe the cause is repeated regular blood donations without supplementation. I'm seen in the VA and June is the earliest I can see the hematologists. They have to order an infusion if needed. I started supplementing yesterday. 50 mg Iron bisglycinate every other day and added fortified cereals, etc. should I go ahead and make the appt even though it may be 6 weeks before I could get treated? Or just do the supplements, stop donating, and hang in there?
