OFFICIAL OFFER FROM AWS

DISCLAIMER( THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AND OPINION THAT DOES NOT MEAN ITS GOING TO BE THE SAME FOR YOU. LOOK BELOW AS THERE ARE ACTIVE AWS WITH BETTED EXPLANATIONS OF STEPS ! THIS IS ALL FOR YOUR AND MY BETTERMENT)

Hello everyone, I recently went through the interview process and nailed a LV4 EOT position! I will say it was a very lengthy process but absolutely doable ! I received an amazing offer which was much higher than anticipated. What I had read for the LV4 position range was 45-65 hourly and 5-20k sign on bonus with possibly up to 250 RSUs. I’ll put it this way , I hit in the medium range of salary and more than double the 20k sign on bonus . I was blown away to say the least but very happy.

Some takeaways that I would like to share to possible help you in the future of nailing a role at AWS.

  1. DO NOT BS THEM, These people are not just filling a role , they are looking for real hands on qualified people, be very honest and transparent with what kind of experience you know . I was told from my recruiter half the time people are reading from chatGPT and it’s easy to spot .
  2. Start from the beginning & write down every question you might have for the position. This gives you a list to ask real questions that can be answered between the interviews and your recruiter ( also helps to read the information first before asking a questions that’s already been discussed)
  3. THE STAR METHOD
  4. This is what set me apart ( I only know this because of my interview feedback)
  5. During your interview process or POD, ask for the interviewer to copy and paste their question into the zoom chat . You don’t realize it but being able to reread that question can help you loop back in a STAR story.
  6. Leadership
  7. Ownership
  8. Customer obsession etc

7.STUDY THE LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES AND HOW THEY WOULD APPLY TO THE STAR METHOD( ask ChatGPT for a in-depth on this )

  1. Everything I’ve listed above does not matter if you don’t have this one thing… INITIATIVE

We live in the modern era and have so many resources at our disposal. Be a sponge for everything data center related, if you do not have any experience the only way is up for you. Get easy certifications like your EPA, OSHA, CPR etc these are things you can go get before applying , you do not have to have the expertise just the aptitude to learn. I make this post because I want to be a resource for the ones who have INITIATIVE. At the end of the day we do this to take care of our family and ourselves, that should be enough motivation to take this opportunity serious because this industry is not going away anytime soon and is quickly becoming one of the highest paying industries for people with experience.

Thank you again to those who gave me advice through my process and I’m sure I’ll make more posts to help . God bless you all

Just to let everyone know they have went away from the multiple day interviews . It is now a continuation of interview’s for 4 hours. You speak to multiple cluster managers and chiefs . They have shadow interviewers aswell sitting in who may speak and ask you additional questions. I enjoyed the process , be prepared to flip flop between your star stories and technical questions. It was pretty in depth for me. I’ll update when I get an official offer letter but I believe I did well and I’ve already been told I exceeded expectations per my recruiter. Praying for good news! Good luck to all sincerely all

I would like some insight on the southern states what the offers look like for LV4 , LV5 , and so on. I see the range for lv4 is from 48-57$ with the range of a sign on bonus being 10-30k . A lot of range but I’d love to see a real offer letter or a full explanation of schedule, pay, etc

I have to say this was nerve racking for absolutely no reason, the prep that many share is overkill ( IF ) . You have a technical background of electrical and mechanical . Otherwise if you are brand new study up heavily . I will wait to hear back, I was told 48 hours to hear the verdict .
