I took a temporary GM position in terms of working 6-8 weeks in the position and was lied to about the circumstances and employees I’d be managing. I’ve been here about 5 weeks and I called and spoke to my direct boss about 2 weeks ago and told her I’d like to step down and go back to my previous position, she said that would be okay and asked if I would work out the posted schedule (through 8/21) she just told me they’re working on it and Friday won’t be my last day and I’ll have to continue working the position until they find someone else to fill the slot. Is this okay? I don’t want the responsibility anymore I feel as if there’s something I should be able to do about it.
