How Do Couples Cope With AIH?

My wife was diagnosed with AIH shortly after the Pandemic. After four years on Prednisone, she off steroids and continues to take an immunosuppressant. She’s in her early 50s, but recent bone density tests indicate she has Osteoporosis, likely from years on Prednisone.

So, we live our lives mostly at home. We continue to do social distancing like it’s peak COVID times. We don’t dine out, fly, stay in hotels, or go into businesses without a mask. My work is remote so I don’t need to work in an office setting. She doesn’t work.

If you or your partner have AIH, while the other is healthy, how do you go about living without feeling isolated? We have an Airstream, which helps.

Thanks from a supportive husband of an amazing person with AIH.

Couldn’t find a real source for the pink flamingo swinger myth

Kept hearing that a flamingo left at a campsite ties back to 1970s swinger culture. Couldn’t find a credible source to validate the rumor.

One real thing I did find: a 13-year study on the Audubon Zoo’s flamingos in New Orleans noted the birds occasionally trade partners. Legit study, but about the birds, not about figurines.

I suppose mashing the two together makes for a better story.

What I’ve actually seen from other Airstream owners: it’s just a “welcome, neighbor” gesture.

Anyone else find a credible source for the swingers angle?
