Hi, I have to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy and wondering if anyone can give me advice on what post-op care you would recommend. I live alone and don't have close family or friends here. I have a family member out of town who can help, but is high maintenance. Did anyone get help from a professional caretaker- did your insurance cover anything like that? Someone suggested I need 24 hour care, for the first 72 hours. What about after that?
