Thermador Freedom + Cat

Hi everyone! We are switching to induction, which will be a new experience for us. I'm a huge cook and am excited. I have two questions:

  1. My first question is about our cat. She has always been allowed in our kitchen and has always naturally avoided the gas burners... but this is different. Do I need to order a cover for the top? No, I'm not going to use a spray bottle or tinfoil or an electric mat to keep her off. It's her home, too, and it's open concept so there's no door to keep her out.

  2. What can I put on top of the cooktop in order to extend the usable counter space when necessary? Silicone mat + chopping board on top of it? Or just an extra large wooden cover that can also function as a chopping board? Open to ideas.

Thank you!

3 Renderings: Which One? CANNOT CHOOSE

Hello! It's time to finalize our design and I am soooo confused. This has been a long time coming and I have too much inspiration.

The floor is chosen and is accurately represented in the black and oak rendering. For some reason AI just keeps changing things slightly and the floors morphed a bit in the other two photos but the tone is the same so it's not that critical.

In the renderings with the green cabinets: those would be metal cabinets with a patina on it, and reeded glass fronts.

Then: do I go in with a cool, deep, moody color?

This is an open floor plan connected to dining and living. Because it's open and connected, the walls for the rest of the space is going to be fairly neutral, and can make moody with furniture but not with wall color. So, I'm trying to make the kitchen moody but still elegant and timeless. I don't want it to be trendy.

I have been staring at too much inspiration and staring at this for too long. I'm kitchen blind. Which of the three do you like best?
