Hiring during this time

Hello, I’m currently studying for my pact and content exams to receive my SOE as soon as possible. However, I’m concerned that I might be taking too long. By the time I receive my SOE, the schools I want to teach in may have already filled the positions. Does anyone know if schools are actively hiring right now or if it’s a slow hiring process?

Should I wait or email principal now

Hello, I’m currently in an ACP program and preparing for my content exam, which covers 4-8 social studies subjects. I’m hoping to work at the district where I used to attend school, and I have a strong connection with my high school principal. We’ve discussed my interest in teaching, and I’ll be meeting with him in two weeks to ask for his assistance in securing a job which im sure he'll try his best. However, I’m wondering whether it would be more beneficial to send emails to the principals of the schools I’m interested in, or if I should wait until my connection sends out resumes to those same schools.
