design e-portfolio
hello all, so when i wanted help for my e-portfolio i cudnt find a lot of stuff on reddit so i wanted to help the future ones. I have a bunch of resources and stuff for design e-portfolio. My predicted was a 7 all around the year and the teacher also gave really good feedback as her previous batch also got 7s so i trust the teacher a lot. I will upload my actual e-portfolio when we get grades but for now you can have previous samples and notes.

Refer to the above link where you will understand various ways to draw the design sketches. You can go to the skills and click on Drawings. Many topics are covered in this website. Let me know tomorrow for any doubts.
TSC cr A
The student:
i. Explains the problem situation by establishing the context through communities, perspective, resources and Identities and Relationships. Identify the client/ target audience, critically present the cause and reason for the problem using graphic organizers / tools ( Statistical analysis, Empathy map, Circle of view points ) and create the problem statement. Justify the need for a solution to a problem by citing minimum 10-12 secondary research and relevant primary resources.
ii. constructs a detailed research plan using tables/flowchart/Mind map, which identifies research area, construct research questions and prioritizes the primary and secondary research needed to develop a solution to the problem independently.
iii. analyses a diverse range(5-6) of existing products that inspire a solution to the problem in detail using possible tools like ACCESSFM, Parts-Purpose-Complexities, Product Matrix.
iv. develops a detailed design brief, which summarizes the analysis of relevant research from all the previous strands, state the design question, describe the expected product outcome by outlining its key features and connecting the solution to SOI.
TSC cr B
7 - 8
The student:
i. develops detailed design specifications using ACCESSFM, which explain the success criteria for the design of a solution based on the analysis of the research done on A2 using various testing method
ii. develops a range of feasible design ideas(Max 3) from different perspectives, using an appropriate mediums like Tinkercad, Isometric drawing, Orthographic drawing, perspective drawing, wireframe etc.. and detailed annotation that highlights functions and features of the design, which can be correctly interpreted by others
iii. presents the chosen design that you will create in Criterion C in the form of images and justifies fully all the important aspects of the design and critically its selection with detailed reference to the design specification in B1
iv. develops accurate and detailed planning drawings/diagrams using specifications, and test that will be used in the design cycle and outlines requirements for the creation of the chosen solution using details necessary to include materials, process, tools, software, wiring diagrams, flowcharts etc..
TSC cr C
7-8:
The student:
i. constructs a detailed and logical plan using tools like a table, flowchart, Gantt chart, or storyboard, where you organize and communicate how your design will be made. This describes the efficient use of time and resources by planning how to make something, which will ensure you have all the correct materials and tools ready, meet deadlines, and avoid or reduce mistakes. A sufficient level of detail should allow another person to follow the steps to create the solution.
ii. demonstrates excellent technical skills (these are the skills used to produce the solution). These include your knowledge of using tools, equipment, procedures, and software in a safe, efficient, and accurate way, by showing evidence using tools like screenshots and a CAD timeline of your skills through careful and detailed documentation, including images and annotations when making the solution.
iii. the product that is presented should be the result of the plan set out in C1 and C2, follows the plan to create the solution, functions as intended as closely as possible, meets the design brief (A4) and design specifications (B1), and is presented appropriately using images of the physical product, screenshots of the completed code, interface, or screens.
iv. fully justifies changes using images and evidence from the production (C1 and C2), as well as the specifications (B1). Changes to the plan are described that were made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution, which is normal for designers when developing the final solution.
TSC Cr D
7 - 8
The Student :
- Designs atleast 5 detailed and relevant testing methods and presents it using a model/ table/ flowchart meaningfully connecting design specifications, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution and stating the data analysis techniques like averages ( mean, mode); percentage of success/ failure; frequency counts; error rate and trend pattern analysis).
- Critically evaluates the success of the solution against the design specification, by analyzing the collected data using the data analysis techniques mentioned in Strand 1.
- Explains how the solution can be improved through the evaluation data in hand.
- Explains, through authentic evidence, the impact of the product only on the client/ target audience after at least a week long client/ target audience testing
5 - 6
The Student:
- Designs atleast 3 -4 relevant testing methods using a model/ table/ flowchart meaningfully connecting design specifications, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution and stating the data analysis techniques like averages ( mean, mode); percentage of success/ failure; frequency counts; error rate and trend pattern analysis).
- Explains the success of the solution against the design specification by analyzing the collected data based on relevant product testing.
- Describes how the solution can be improved through the evaluation data in hand.
- Explains, through authentic evidence, the impact of the product only on the client/ target audience after at least a week long client/ target audience testing
3 - 4
The Student:
- Designs atleast 2- 3 relevant testing methods using a model/ table/ flowchart meaningfully connecting design specifications, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution
- Outlines the success of the solution against the design specifications based on relevant product testing.
- Outlines how the solution can be improved.
- Outlines the impact of the solution on the client/target audience.
1 - 2
The student:
1. designs a testing method, which is used to measure the success of the solution.
2. states the success of the solution.
Final message
Dear Students,
Today I really feel very happy and satisfied with the effort you all have put in to complete the Design E-portfolio. Now it is that time to give final touch and final check to your documents. Please check for the following details:
- MLA format must.
- page numbers starting from Criterion A.
- Total main document should be 40 pages + Cover page + Table of Content + Appendix 10 pages + Bibliography + screen recording 4mins.
- Check if proper in text citations done and evidences have been properly placed in the appendix.
- No active links should be there in the main document 40 pages, but it can be there in appendix and bibliography.
- All images and tables should have caption
- Remove all the comments from the main document.
- Merge all the tabs and keep one document in the file I have shared with you because that I will upload to IB.
- I will remove the access to the folder on Wednesday. In case any changes required I will share the file personally.
- Tomorrow I will do the final check and whatever I find in the document final grading will be given and submitted to IB based on that.
- Upload the final version PDF in the Managebac by tomorrow in the same task "Final E-Portfolio". I will lock the Managebac submission tomorrow.
All the best. For any queries please reach out to me.
