I spent the last two months completely redesigning ParkFinder, a free interactive dashboard to find your perfect National Park trip based on weather, travel time, and stargazing
Two months ago, I shared the first version of ParkFinder here and received some amazing feedback. Since then, I have completely rebuilt the site from the ground up to give it a premium, modern experience.
What is new in this version:
- Completely fresh UI: Added dark mode support, smooth animations, and optimized mobile layouts.
- Visual cards: Integrated high-fidelity cards and local images for all 63 parks.
- Upgraded filters: Refined the interactive controls to filter by trip duration, optimal weather, and stargazing potential.
- Checked-off tracker: Added local visited-park tracking so you can check off where you have been.
It is still completely free, runs entirely client-side, has no ads, and requires no login. I built this to solve my own travel planning headaches, and I hope it helps you plan your next adventure.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the new design!
