MATS Level 3 Exam Debrief
I sat my Level 3 MATs exam today and honestly… I left not really knowing how to feel.
The questions were way harder than I expected. I revised formulas over and over beforehand and felt like I had them down, but the second I sat in that exam room it was like half the information disappeared from my brain.
The Excel tasks were okay overall, but the timer was cutting it SO fine. I literally managed to press “Answer” with 0.06 seconds left, the spreadsheet instantly closed, and then the system kicked me out less than a second later. So now I’m desperately hoping the system actually saved that final task.
On the positive side, I felt much more confident with the higher-mark questions, especially the 10 and 12 markers. But there were still some questions I didn’t get round to answering at all, and a few that were complete guesses.
Now comes the worst part, the waiting game. To find out whether I passed or whether I’ll have to resit the exam. Definitely mixed emotions right now, but what’s done is done. All I can do now is hope that the work I put in and the answers I did manage were enough. 🤞
