Last year I finished my trip solo after 3 months with mates. Realised how much I relied on them without knowing it.

Got into a situation where a hostel guy kept trying to sell me tours, got increasingly pushy. With the lads I would've just left. Alone I felt cornered and awkward. Ended up buying a €50 tour I didn't want just to get out of the conversation. Sounds dumb but being alone makes you weirdly vulnerable to social pressure. Is that normal?

This is my first ever account and post but honestly what's the biggest mistake you made on your first interrail trip?

So we're 3 lads in our early 20s who just spent way too much time and money planning European rail trips. We kept making the same mistakes over and over (and seeing my friends do the same) so we're building something to fix it.

But first I would rather hear truly what went wrong for you? If they have and did it have a happy ending?

Booking the wrong trains? Getting charged 3x what you should? Happened to me (blame it on my mate) Feeling unsafe in certain cities? Lose your air pods 3 cities back (just me)

Coordinating with a group = nightmare? (Yes even three was chaos)

Something else entirely?

We're not trying to build something nobody needs. So genuinely curious what frustrated you most.
