New home owner here…yay me especially in this economy! However, I pulled the basement carpet out and discovered this gem! I’ve been told to do one of the following 3 things but could really use some opinions/experiences with this. Anything and everything is much appreciated. Carpet is a hard NO for me but I was originally going to pull up the carpet and do epoxy over the concrete but my dream has halted.

1. Self leveling the broken/missing areas and paint or epoxy over the top. (Seems like the easiest and maybe cheapest option)

2. Pull tiles and seal the floor with perfect primer….a little costly but seems to have good reviews.

3. Pull tiles and use something like bean-e-doo to remove the black mastic.
