having clients that are understanding of your situation is the best feeling

after what happened a couple days ago (see post), i feel like i've been walking on thin ice. i also recently discovered i'm autistic on top of adhd, and it's been a whirlwind of emotions for me to process.

i tried out a new software for my business, and it got to be too much. too complicated, too techy, etc. my client accidentally got too many emails from them and i tried to communicate via text to her to see what was going on. in the end, i decided that software was not a good fit for me, and was making me more stressed out than i had to be. i've probaly had 2-3 meltdowns today from that and other stuff...

i wrote her a formal apology for how the situation was handled, as i truly felt awful about it. she was very kind about it and i also told her how i am autistic (i've known her for a while now) and that new situations can be very upsetting for me, especially when i can't figure them out.

i breathed a sigh of relief when i got the initial text. i'm just glad it all worked out. i'm gonna take a couple of weeks to do more research into audhd friendly software and see what works for me. and if anyone has any recommendations please lmk!

how do you guys take payment without sounding demanding or pushy?

i don’t have the money to pay for another software, so i’m trying to find the best balance for this right now…i lost a client (see last post) cause she thought i was being too pushy. i’m trying to find the best balance. thanks in advance!! 🩷

client said i was pushy with payment: did i mess up?

phots are in comments since reddit wouldn’t allow me to post it in the post.

i met this new client on saturday and sent her my her my policies on saturday and to complete payment by today (we were going to have a walk wednesday and my policy is payment needs to be in 48 hours in advance). i sent two reminder messages which i probably shouldn’t have done. then i got her message which to be honest, hurt…

a situation happened last time where i definitely messaged the client way too much. so i tried to limit that and send a friendly reminder. i also have autism and adhd (not that it excuses my behavior at all) so it can be hard with boundaries and i’m working very hard on this.

i currently take zelle, venmo, cash app and bank transfer. i can’t afford square space since i’m still starting out.

did i mess up? how can i improve from this situation so it doesn’t happen again? i’m willing to learn and grow.

thanks in advance 🩷
