Looking for feedback for a corporate challenge event
Hi! I’m working on creating pool challenge for a corporate event at my workplace (they recently installed a new pool table!).
The goal is to create something: strategic,
suspenseful, beginner-friendly, while still rewarding advanced players, and able to accommodate 30+ participants without taking too long.
Here’s an overview of the rules:
10 object balls (1–10) are placed in fixed strategic positions. Each ball is worth its face value. (See picture.)
Players have only 5 shots to achieve the highest score possible.
Players may shoot balls in ANY order.
Combination shots and caroms are allowed.
No called shots required.
Double Ball
Once per game, before ONE shot, the player may designate a “Double Ball”.
If that specific ball is pocketed during the shot, its value is doubled.
Example:
10-ball Double Ball = 20 points.
Sequence Bonus
Only the LONGEST consecutive run counts:
2 successful shots = +5
3 successful shots = +10
4 successful shots = +15
5 successful shots = +25
What do you think of this concept?
What would you improve/change? Thank you for your feedback!
