I can already sew, but not pattern draft except for some basic stuff, I understand the principle of darts but I didn’t try all of them yet.

I know it’s best to leave what you want to specialize in until after graduation, but my fascination is with the hand work side of fashion, I plan to study couture after I graduate. So until then, from now, I’m trying to understand corsets (only made one with a pattern).

I really want to get into embroidery.

Basically, I don’t want to be a noob by the time I’m in uni, I want to at least have some base skills to which I won’t waste it learning the basics but instead expand my design skills into more intricate works.

Where can I start?

Also, how can I learn to illustrate my ideas? I am certainly behind in illustration.
