What income should I ask for?
I’m working currently as an intern for an engineering firm (not as an engineer) was bought on to be apart of the AI group.
I have a degree in Physics, 1.5 years previously working as a Data Reporter and have been programming automation tasks in python to give to copilot to execute on tasks.
I’m currently making $25/hr as a part of a 6 month contract and I’m 3 months in, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments for my work and have created an agent for automating some of the grunt work they’ve asked me to w very little guidance; I’m trying to figure out what a fair income would be for my qualifications, I took the job essentially as a learning experience; my opinion is that if they offer/can’t give me a job over 85k I would walk away and look elsewhere. If it’s under 95k I’d still keep looking out but I’d stick around for longer.
Is that fair?
