Is rust normal?
I was vacuuming out my '25 GHHM Platinum and opened up the trunk compartment for the spare for probably the first time and noticed this bracket looked really rusty. Is this normal?

Found in a trash pit full of items so far 1940s-1970/80s at a property with industrial and artist past in NY. Solid Bronze with a threaded hole at the base. Is this just some kind of finial?
