Is this anime more romance or comedy based?

I just finished episode 3 and I honestly feel like this anime is more comedy than romance, and there is nothing wrong with that because its very funny but I think the overwhelming introduction to so many characters is confusing me a bit and it gives me Kaguya-Sama: Love is War type of vibes.

What I'm looking for now is a more romantic anime and I just wanted to know if later on in the anime if it turns out more romantic or if it just stays comedic more than romantic.

For all the manga readers, what genuinely is the point of this character?

I understand that to progress Yukiya and Miku's relationship that there needed to be a push but I just feel like this entire arc was just unnecessary. Like the theme of jealousy is really all the author uses to develop characters and its so pointless that it kind of makes me frustrated.

Its probably just me because I really, really despise NTR and all that other stuff interfering with the main couple, but this character just felt so pointless to me. In certain circumstances I know this push is necessary but in this instance they already kissed, development progressed, the entire Fake Dating Arc would have survived without him, might even have turned out better.

On top of that why did Miku even give him any time of day and what was the point of running back to tell him that he was cool? Like I just don't see the point of Yamabuki and his character just trying to NTR the main couple, its so weird....
